We had a lovely calm and creative week again at Mums in Mind. The babies made their first Christmas presents, some gorgeous footprint coasters that the wonderful Rene from Goodlands Tea Party will take away and fire in her kiln. There was lots of chat around our craft table as some amazing vision boards were created. One mum felt particularly proud for having achieved this as it has been suggested in her support from Positive Step. It’s lovely to be backing up the professional support that mums sometimes have alongside group and providing a space for mums to just share and understand each other with no judgement. Our volunteers did a superb job of supporting the babies to sleep, feed and play while we ended the session with a nurturing mindfulness relaxation.
Home-Start North Somerset will be fundraising at the following Christmas events;
We would love to see you there.
Backwell School, Christmas Fayre
Friday 30th November between 6pm – 9pm

Well done to all the Home-Start North Somerset team on achieving a high quality standard at the recent Home-Start UK Quality Assurance review.
Our volunteers enjoyed a Mindfulness support session last week which was run by Dr Jessica Munafo, who is a Clinical Psychologist. Everyone agreed that they could use it for themselves and their families.

A new volunteer, Gill had organised a concert at Holy Trinity Church, Nailsea on Saturday 16th June. She invited us to sell cakes and hold a raffle, which we did! We raised £155 towards supporting local families. Thank you to Gill, the choirs and all who contributed to the cakes and the raffle.
