In 2016, the office received an email from a lady called Clair. She and her friends offered to buy presents for all the children who were currently involved with Home-Start. After a discussion with the Trustees, we said yes please. This was the beginning of a lovely relationship. Every year in September, I get an email from Clair, asking if they can do the same. Not only do they buy a gift for all the children in the families, they buy a gift for the whole family such as a lovely box of biscuits, yummy box of chocolates or crackers.
Five Christmases later, Clair and her friends are still as enthusiastic as they were in 2016. In fact we ran out of children this year and they sent presents to the children connected with Home-Start Bristol.
A bunch of friends who are thinking of others less fortunate than themselves, at a special time of the year.
