We are delighted to welcome new recruit Andrew Robb to the board of Trustees. A financial planner by profession, Andrew began as a volunteer with Home-Start in January 2020. Andrew told us: “I didn’t set out aiming to be a trustee but was happy to help as a volunteer, which I have really enjoyed. My family was great and Sally my supervisor is lovely. When I saw what great work Home-Start does for the families and was asked to be a trustee, even though it wasn’t really what I planned to do I just couldn’t say no. There are some great trustees with some fabulous experience on the board.”
Andrew is married with two grown-up sons. “We used to keep bees, which I became allergic to (!) pigs, sheep and cattle. Unfortunately as the years went on I found it harder and harder to take animals to the abattoir. My wife Kathie said I couldn’t have 36 pet sheep so all the animals went to other homes!“ We look forward to working with Andrew.
