Holy Trinity Church in Nailsea was filled with music and barn dancing on April 13th this year.
100 people bought tickets to enjoy the evening and fundraise for Home-Start North Somerset. Dave Francis’s well known folk band – Fougere Rouge – played fantastic music to get everyone on the floor and more or less following the steps!
The evening was the brainchild of one of our volunteers whose son also played in the band. A delicious ploughman’s supper kept everyone going, until a rousing chorus of the Hokey Cokey ended the evening.
Our thanks to Dave for his calling and to the band. Thanks also to Kath from Holy Trinity Church for her very helpful and practical assistance in transforming a church into a dance hall. Volunteers, trustees and friends provided the food, the bar and the hampers for auction. while our office staff managed the ticket sales.
As always, the biggest thanks to all our supporters who attended, got involved and made the evening such a success. A great time was had by all – I think you might find a repeat performance next year!
We were delighted to find our final total was over £1200.
