Waitrose Weston-super-Mare have donated £1500 to Home-Start through their community fund, on the theme of ‘Connections at Christmas’, to support activity where people come together, socialise and build connections. The money has already supported our families’ and volunteers’ festive events, where we bring together the people we work with. We’re hugely grateful to Waitrose for their continuing support.
The staff at Pure Offices in Portishead have raised an amazing £937 for Home-Start North Somerset. Kim Batchelor, Area Manager, said: “Pure Offices is a company offering serviced offices. There are 23 centres around the UK. Each one looks to support a local charity each year and raise funds by getting donations from our clients who rent workspace from us. I chose Home-Start North Somerset this year as it is one I was familiar with and I wanted a charity that helped children.” The money was raised through donations from clients and activities such as an Easter Raffle, a Grand National Sweepstake, a charity N2U sale. Pure Offices also aims to match the donations total. A huge thank you to everyone at Pure Offices for their fantastic efforts! The TK Maxx Foundation has made a donation of £500 through their community fund scheme, that allows associates to nominate a charity of their choice, close to their hearts. We’re absolutely thrilled that we were nominated by a staff member at the Worle store.
Dunelm Weston once again invited us to take part in their brilliant ‘Delivering Joy’ campaign in which store visitors are invited to donate a gift for someone in need at Christmas. We received a huge selection of gifts for distribution to our families – what incredible generosity from the people of North Somerset!
