Working in a team to support some new mums sounded interesting – and it was also an opportunity to play with some babies!
Being alongside other volunteers who have done this before was so reassuring. They are a lovely bunch and I’ve benefitted from their experience, humour and kindness.
It’s such a pleasure to see development, not just in the babies, but also to see greater confidence in the mums and watch the forming friendships among them.
Many years ago when I was a young mum, I really enjoyed getting to know other mums, so it’s lovely to be part of a group where mums now have that similar opportunity.
