Home-Start North Somerset is a leading family support charity which offers confidential support, help and friendship through a programme of trained home-visiting volunteers. Last year we supported 59 families across the whole of North Somerset.
We are currently looking for two new trustees to join our Board and ensure the smooth and safe running of the charity. Maybe you have skills, experience or enthusiasm in management, fundraising, finance or organisation? We have a small, informal but effective Board currently including both health, social care and business expertise, as well as a new treasurer who brings a wealth of experience. You would be offered induction and mentoring, working alongside our small and fantastic staff group. Meetings are approximately monthly, currently on a Thursday morning but we could be flexible to accommodate you if necessary.
What are we looking for? We would welcome someone with an interest or experience in small charity work, parenting, family support and/or children under 5. This should not exclude someone who is interested in this role for other reasons! Maybe you would be a fantastic fundraiser, or need to add to your CV? We would love to include a variety of people on our Board – it may be that you are a potential young trustee, or are in some situation where you’re not sure if it’s right for you – try us!?
