Please note that due to the Coronavirus Guidelines our Home Visiting Service has moved to phone weekly or biweekly phone or zoom support or risk assessed park meets.  Mums in Mind Groups now run online.

HOME-VISITING

All the families we are currently working with have been offered phone support in place of home visiting from our volunteers and staff team.  We are still accepting referrals to support new families and initially this will be via the phone.

GROUP SUPPORT

Our Mums in Mind Group starts online in October 2020.  This is a small peer to peer support group for mums with babies under one, who are feeling low, depressed, anxious or isolated to share experiences and discuss wellbeing.

NEW REFERRALS

We continue to accept referrals but due to our office shutdown we ideally require referrals to be submitted via email to info@home-startnorthsomerset.org.uk.  Postal referrals are retrieved weekly from the office.  You can find our referral form here.

If you are in any doubt about what is happening with a referral, please call 01934 419 396 and leave a message.  We check and respond to messages throughout the day Monday to Thursday.

ONLINE SUPPORT

We have further developed the useful services section of our website which contains all the local Covid-19 community response services available to vulnerable families, mental health advice, homeschooling ideas and much more!  We will build this further over the coming weeks for our volunteers and any families visiting our site to refer to.

We are posting ideas for home life and updates on local services on our facebook page regularly too.

HEALTH VISITING SUPPORT

We continue to work closely with the health visiting service.  Please be aware that due to Children’s Centre closures they can be called via a central number for health visiting advice – 01934 533 300.

Stay safe and stay connected,

From the Home-Start North Somerset Team
